Free Webinar: Circular Councils

Across Australia, 110 Local governments have declared a climate emergency.

While local and state governments seek to reduce the impact of climate change, many councils have taken a lead in implementing Circular Economy solutions to reduce carbon emissions and provide a solution to the ever-growing problem of waste management.

Join us to hear from two of Australia’s leading organizations and how they support a circular and zero-waste future:

The City of Greater Bendigo: With a commitment to the Circular Economy and Zero waste policy, the City of Greater Bendigo has implemented various programs toward a sustainable future. Council also runs the ASPIRE program across internal departments to exchange resources and reduce, reuse and repurpose waste.

North East Waste: Learn how North East Waste works together toward cost-effective waste management solutions for the Ballina Shire, Byron Shire, Clarence Valley, Lismore City, Kyogle, Richmond Valley and Tweed Shire. North East Waste is a member group of RENEW NSW and is supported by local councils and the NSW Environmental Protection Agency.

Speakers:

  • Scott Bryant: Circular Economy Coordinator at the City of Greater Bendigo (Circular Regions and Zero Waste)
  • Kim Potter: Business Programs Manager at North East Waste Group (Circular Design and Systems Thinking)
  • Cameron McKenzie: CEO of ASPIRE, Construction Innovation and Circular Economy

We will also conduct a 30 min fireside chat with our speakers.

Hope to see you there!

More about ASPIRE
